RESOURCE EFFICIENCY BY CARBON RECYCLING
Böttinger Group (BG) is well on our way to becoming the world leader in power to methanol technology. With the deployment of our scalable Direct Air Capture plants we will produce renewable methanol from carbon dioxide, hydrogen and electricity for fuel applications, greener chemicals and products. We work with partners to develop transformative projects, increasing resource efficiency and creating valuable products from waste gases and renewable energy. We will design, engineer and implement methanol production plants based on our Fuel-From-Emissions (FFE) technology platform. Our solutions are environmentally friendly and do not impact the food chain or land use.
FFE is a key enabling technology for the transition to a circular economy by making it possible to transform industrial CO2 emissions to synthetic fuels and materials, all while avoiding the use of fossil fuels.
Our technology will use renewable energy integration. The Increased integration of renewable power into the global energy mix will be fundamental to achieve reduced dependency on fossil fuels. Wind and solar energy are inherently intermittent and power transmission networks are ill-equipped to accommodate fluctuating energy. Future energy systems will benefit from applying load-following storage technologies at large scale. BG’s Fuel-From-Emissions (FFE) technology can absorb surplus power generated at peak times and in remote locations. Storing surplus electricity as liquid methanol allows power generators to leverage existing distribution infrastructure and gain access to new energy markets.
